Lighthouse Point is one of Broward County's most beautiful east side cities. Incorporated in 1956 this mostly affluent and nautically oriented community is located south of Deerfield Beach and adjacent to Pompano Beach on the north side. Lighthouse Point encompasses approximately 2.36 square miles. Lighthouse Point was actually named after the famed Hillsboro Lighthouse on the north side of the Hillsboro Inlet.  There are parks and open common area for the residents to enjoy around every corner.

Many of the homes in Lighthouse Point offer deep water dockage and easy ocean access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Hillsboro Inlet with over approximately 18 miles of waterways within the city in total. Sport fishing is popular here with the locals as well as surfing, boating, diving, and just about any other water related activity you can imagine. For our diver friends, there is even a beautiful reef just south of the Hillsboro Inlet that runs south to the Pompano Pier in about 25-30 feet of water and provides great adventure and scenery for snorkelers and divers. For those mariners in need of dockage and/or a full service marina and a wonderful little restaurant called Nauti Dawg Marina Cafe, they will find both at the Lighthouse Point Marina which is centrally located and only minutes from Hillsboro Inlet.

Lighthouse Point is a very family oriented city with several large parks like Dan Witt Park, Frank McDonough Park, Exchange Club Park and several other smaller parks which offer many fun annual event s such as; Dog Day in the Park, Halloween Party, Keeper Days, Lighthouse A'Glow – A Holiday Gathering, Nautical Flea Market, Seniors Club Activities, Sports Leagues, Spring Egg Hunt, Summer Recreation and so much more!
